The STAR Institute is a Technology and Innovation Center (CTI) focused on the automotive industry
and adjacent areas and in its value chain, promoting an interface between universities and the
industry in different areas of innovation, research and development such as energy,
circular economy, materials, 3D printing, Internet of Things, robotics, processes and
production technologies.
Having as a principle the development of new products and services in a network of
collaboration and technical and technological intermediation with companies in the sector,
Universities and Associations, the STAR Institute has the conditions to be a driving force for
application of science and knowledge in industry.
INOVC+ is a strategic program for the Central Region that consists of the implementation and consolidation of an Innovation Ecosystem for Knowledge and Technology Transfer that, in a context of networking with 23 partners, enhances the valorization and transfer of knowledge and R&D+I results to the regional economy, being a continuation of the previous InovC, InovC 2020 and InovC+ programs. The project has a duration of 30 months and a total eligible investment of around 4,1 million euros, 85% co-financed by CENTRO 2030, Portugal 2030 and the European Union, The European Funds Closest to You.
